*LF: For most of our fence pickets or battens we use higher graded no hole true Western Red Cedar [Species: Thuja Plicata] due to its affordability and characteristics. We never us other types of cedar such as Incense Cedar, Port Orford Cedar, Purple(Southern) Cedar, Alaskan Cedar, Occidental Cedar, Ozark Cedar, Appalachian(Aromatic) Cedar, Northern Light Cedar, Eastern Red Cedar, Inland Cedar, Texas Red Cedar, Pencil Cedar, or Atlantic White Cedar. Even though these cedars are available to Lott Fence as usually cheaper alternatives, their tendencies are not conducive to fencing in Central and South Central Texas.
